Julie Brauer



Julie is a supervising solicitor specialising in asylum, immigration and human rights matters.


Julie joined Sutovic & Hartigan in 2014 and became a Senior Caseworker under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme in 2015. Julie undertook her training contract at Sutovic & Hartigan, qualifying as a solicitor in January 2019.


Julie’s practice includes asylum claims, entry clearance applications, applications for further leave to  remain, naturalisation and registration applications, asylum and human rights appeals, deportation matters as well as judicial review matters.  Julie has particular expertise in working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and vulnerable adults.


Prior to joining Sutovic & Hartigan, Julie completed an LLB in European Legal Studies at the University of Kent and an LLM in European Law with a specialisation in Human Rights at the University of Saarland in Germany. Julie gained experience at UNHCR, Amnesty International and the Foreign Office in Germany, prior to returning to the UK to complete her LPC at the University of Law.
